What we collect

How you sign in: your email address, your mobile number, or your Google or Apple account. From Google or Apple we receive only your name and email address. A mobile number is optional; if you add one, we send a code by WhatsApp to confirm it is yours and, if you choose, send you WhatsApp updates.
Your name as shown to others, your language, and your email address if you add one.
What you post: service requests, quotes, chat messages, reviews, reports, and business details and photos.
Basic technical data needed to run and protect the site, such as IP address, browser type and error logs.

To run your account and the services you ask for: matching requests with businesses, delivering quotes and messages, and showing reviews.
To tell you about activity on your account, on the website and, if you allow it, by WhatsApp or email. You can turn these off on your account page.
To keep QatarSteps safe: checking new posts, stopping spam and abuse, and acting on reports.
To understand which pages are used, through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not show third-party advertising.

Your requests are visible to signed-in businesses in that category, without your phone number. Your chats are visible only to you, the other person and, when something is reported, our moderators.
Business profiles, published reviews and the reviewer's display name are public.
Our moderators can see what is needed to check posts and handle reports.

Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Cloudflare (hosting, security check and analytics), Google and Apple (if you sign in with them), Meta (WhatsApp sign-in codes and messages) and Resend (email). They process data only on our instructions.
Some of these providers store data outside Qatar. We choose providers with appropriate safeguards and share only what each one needs.
We may disclose data if Qatari law or a competent authority requires it.

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, your login, profile, requests, chats, reviews, notifications and uploaded photos are deleted straight away. Businesses you owned are hidden and unlinked from you.
Backups are kept for up to 30 days and then overwritten. Records we must keep by law are kept only as long as required.

You can see and correct your details on your account page, change how we contact you, and delete your account at any time.
You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by writing to info@alphazulu.group. We reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the personal data protection authority in Qatar.

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms. Drafts and the free tools save what you type on your own device only.

QatarSteps is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you on the website before the change applies.
