Get your health card
Apply online or at your local health centre, what to bring, and what it costs.

The health card gives residents access to subsidised care at PHCC health centres and Hamad Medical Corporation hospitals, plus subsidised prescriptions at government pharmacies. You need your QID first.
Before you start
- Your QID
- A passport photo (4 × 3 cm)
- A utility bill as proof of address (phone, or electricity and water)
- For children born and vaccinated in Qatar: vaccination card (first issue)
- A credit or debit card — cash is not accepted
Step by step
Choose how to apply
Apply in the PHCC Naraakom app, or visit the PHCC health centre nearest your home. Cards are issued during morning hours only.
Submit your documents
Fill in the form, upload or hand over your documents, and you’ll get a PHCC health file number.
Pay by card
QAR 100 for adult and child residents. Payment is by card only.
Collect your card
Some centres issue it on the spot; others ask you to come back in a few days. You can check status on Hukoomi.
Renew before it expires
Renew online through Hukoomi or at any PHCC centre or HMC hospital.

Common mistakes
- Going in the afternoon — cards are issued in the morning only.
- Forgetting the utility bill. Without proof of address you’ll be sent home.
- Bringing cash only.
